Thanks to the precious advice of Picto‘s experts and according to the desired rendering, the choices were made for each photography.
Usually, photographies fade quickly. The red colours are the most affected and in less than ten years, they start to disappear while the whites on their side turn yellow.
Thanks to their composition, thickness and grammage of over 300 g/m2, the papers selected offer a perfect rendering with a fine grain and a delicate, semi-matt appearance.
In addition to the reproduction of all the nuances, these Premium papers have an exceptional lifespan as they are guaranteed unalterable for over a century.
For buyers who wish to receive prints ready to be hung, perfectly adapted to their wishes and constraints, a top-of-the-range service is offered at the time of finalizing the basket. If the “Picto Advice and Quote” button is ticked, an expert from the Picto Laboratory will contact you by telephone to discuss your expectations regarding the desired framing and finishing.
This personalized assistance aims to offer a perfect aesthetic, technical and budgetary match with optimal quality at all levels. This premium approach, normally reserved for Galleries and Museums, has been made possible thanks to an exceptional partnership with the Picto Laboratory .
To help you choose the ideal frame among all the possibilities and options that will be proposed to you by Picto experts, I invite you to discover the Premium frames that I have pre-selected, from the classic Fine Art Frame to the Floating Frame, including the traditional or with Plexiglassing American Crate.
The same price scale has been applied to all the photographies offered (Colour and BW) in order to better understand and satisfy your expectations.

With offices in Paris, New York, Milan and Ho Chi Minh, Picto is the only one able to offer the desired Premium level and to guarantee it without hesitation. This is demonstrated by the personalised support offered for framing and finishing, as this quality of service is normally reserved exclusively for Galleries and Museums. This approach is made possible thanks to the support of Philippe Gassmann, Picto‘s CEO and grandson of the founder, the involvement of Denis, Production Manager, Sandra, Project Manager and Nathalie from the Professional Customer Service Department.
It would be inappropriate not to warmly thank Alaric Baraou (Paris), without whom this site could not have been created. The contribution of this talented developer was essential to meet the needs (front and back office) in order to offer a functional and totally secure site.
Sincere thanks also to those who patiently optimised each of the proposed photographies, Swannie Georgeat and Karine Dupureur.
This work was just as meticulous and fastidious as that carried out by Bruno Travi of Everglades to digitalise all the negatives, some of which were over half a century old. The expertise of Pascal Colnel, Artistic Director of The Big Yellow Dog, was also very useful. We must also mention the quality of the advice given by Marie Christine Lampert of L3Conseils and finally underline the importance of the unfailing help given by Gilles, Simone, Madé, Jojo, Pape Malick, Antoine, Eric, Franck, Leroy, and Seb.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to each of them.
At the age of 9, for 5 French francs, I got my first camera (100% plastic) and a 12 exposure black and white film.
In July 1969, when Neil Armstrong put his first foot on the moon, I took my first two photographies, my neighbour, Claude and the battleship Jean Bart. They were the starting point of an experience that is still not completed today.

When I was a teenager, I bought a Canon FTb-QL, my first 24 x 36 reflex camera, and soon after, I was immersed in the photo lab, the red light, the enlarger, the three trays, the acid fumes and the clothes pegs.
Very quickly, photography asserted itself as a sincere and ideal way to discover, capture and share.

At the age of 19, my first steps in the written press, in a regional daily newspaper.
Very quickly, dozens of photographies and texts published each month at the local, then national and finally international level thanks to a collaboration with the Sipa and Sygma Photo Agencies.
With a press card in hand, the contracts diversified. Solicitations from television channels multiplied.
Video will try to play the spoilsport. It will interfere and gradually try to impose itself.

During two decades of daily collaborations with Television Stations, video has been the essential tool for sharing content effectively, relying on moving images, soundtrack and commentary. This technical hegemony could easily have destroyed any relationship with photography. The opposite happened. In the end, video has only crossed my life. Photography has always accompanied me, a bit like a discreet mistress by necessity. Faithful for more than half a century, photography has never left me for a single moment. Yesterday confidential, this passionate relationship is today openly assumed.

Impressed by the purity of Premium Fine Art Prints |
Few people know that I have published hundreds of photographies in France and abroad. Fewer still are those who know of my deep relationship with photography, a passion that began when I was 9 years old. Today, 50 years later, I can admit that I have never stopped taking photographies, for pure pleasure. Whatever the place or the situation, free, intimate photographies, motivated only by my own desire. Photographies that were intended to remain confidential and private. It is a paradox that today, for the first time, with this website, these personal and unpublished photographies taken over the past half-century are accessible to you. A double paradox, since it is possible to discover and acquire them at the same time. You can thus decide to buy these numbered and certified Fine Art Prints made by the famous Picto Laboratory to decorate your walls, to optimize your taxation or to please your loved ones because if we believe Albert Schweitzer : “Happiness is the only thing that is doubled if we share it“. I wish you a pleasant visit ! |
